Belgrade’s Athletic Indoor Center (nearing its first birthday) hosted today a second international ‘Serbian open indoor meeting’. Our athletes and the competitors from all around three continents had another chance to check their form before the full crowd at the Indoor Arena and to see if they are ready for both Balkan Indoor Championships (February 25) and European Indoor Championships from 3-5 March.

One of the most significant results of the evening was made by Tamara Salaski who set the new National record at 400m – 52.99. Besides Tamara, our best shot put thrower Asmir Kolasinac threw 20.87m achieving season’s best and getting close to his own National indoor record – 20.91m. Mihail Dudas also performed very well, setting his own personal best in pole vault – 4.82m. That result brought him third place while the winner in this discipline, Ivan Horvat, jumped over 5.72m. Robert Rener from Slovenia finished second with 5,42m. Mihail Dudas also competed at the ‘Borislav Pisic Memorial’ where he managed to run his new personal best at 60m hurdles – 8,11s.

Amela Terzic finished her 800m race for 2.05.83 while Milos raovic clocked an excellent 400m race for 47.36s.

Star of the meeting Darya Klishina won with 6.57m long jump. Milica Gradasevic finished second with 6.23m and Antonija Radic placed third – 5,70m. Lazar Anic won among the men and finished with 7,88m.

Once more the Local Organising Team demonstrated its skills and helped the ‘Queen of Sports’ retourn to its rightful place. Our athletes also showed great effort and readiness for competing among 48 European countries in the Kombank Arena from3-5 March.
