Serbian athlete Milan Ristic continues to train with his coach after finishing his studies. Two weeks ago he started to prepare for European Indoor Championships that is going to take place in Belgrade from 3-5 March 2017.
‘Everything is fine at the moment. This competition means a lot to me for it is happening in my home city. I hope I will make my people proud with great results and possibly one of the medals. I will be back in Serbia two weeks before the Championships to get used to the time zone and to focus on the home field by feeling the atmosphere which I am sure to be terrific’’, said Serbian 110m hurdles national record holder.
This season will most certainly be remembered as an athletics season. Our champions made significant results and won medals at big competitions. Milan barely lost his chance to qualify for the finals at the European Championships in Amsterdam and finished at 13.45s in the semifinals. Besides his result in Amsterdam, Milan beat national records many times over this season and we could also see him at the Olympics in Rio where, unfortunately, he did not get past the qualification heat. He will run 60m hurdles in March and this will be his first competition in the upcoming season. His best result in this discipline so far is 7.75 seconds.
Belgrade’s Kombank Arena will host a true athletics spectacle from 3-5 march 2017. Serbia will have a unique chance to host the best athletes from 50 states of the Old continent, while our athletes anxiously wait to win medals and compete in 26 disciplines before the full Arena’s home crowd.
